NeuroEmotional Technique

NeuroEmotional Technique (NET) was developed by a California Chiropractor, Dr Scott Walker.  NET was one of the first techniques to combine Muscle Response Testing with the emotional component of Chinese Energy Medicine.  Over the past 5000 years, acupuncture practitioners have correlated specific emotional issues to specific meridian and organ systems. Examples of this would be that chronic repressed anger would tend to effect the liver meridian, chronic fear  has it's effect primarily on the kidney meridian.

Using muscle testing, one can ask the subconscious mind of the patient to isolate specific troubling issues. It is possible to "ask" the muscle age of onset and system being effected.  With this information, the patient can often become consciously aware of the troubling event.  Once the event is known, while the patient maintains thought of this issue, the appropriate acupuncture points are manually stimulated to balance the energy system. In doing this the systemic effects of this emotional issue are largely neutralized.

Doctor Walker coined the term Neuro-Emotional Complexes for these aberrations in body control systems caused by swallowed emotions.  Removing NEC's allows the body function to return to normal and for healing to begin.
